Sally and Lydia help lower the cost of construction for the new home. Suzy brought gold shovels for the ground breaking ceremony, but the Lytle girls decided that was boring and a lot of effort.
So each took a turn with the big shovel – Sally was a natural. She made it look like a leisurely Sunday afternoon drive. Lydia, on the other hand, made it look like a Steven King movie.
In the next 2 – 3 weeks, Basement Contractors will move more than 300 truck loads of dirt.
About 100 loads will be moved across the street and the remainder will be moved about ½ mile north to the Rose Lake addition.
In the back of my mind, I’m wondering how I will react if someone tells me we need to purchase a few truck loads of fill dirt for final grading!!!
